Don’t you love a good bodycon dress? I know I’m a sucker for them. A good bodycon dress can give one curves in the right places. While they scream sexy, they have a touch of classic sophistication to them that I love. This is a very old (over 5yrs) purchase from Boohoo. It’s stretchy, comfortable, the midi length is just right and the tie-dye fabric is nice. As you can see I went the minimalist route by keeping it simple with accessories, -just a hat and a bag.
Wearing anything bodycon isn’t for everybody because, lets be real not everyone is confident with their body. I know I used to be that girl. “My belly looks big, my hips are too wide, my bum looks flat (e.t.c)”, -that was me years ago. First of all, ladies!, you don’t owe anyone flat tummy, but just in case you’re just not comfortable or confident.
* Tip 1 – Up that Size *
Whenever I’m buying a garment that I know its figure-hugging, I opt for a size or two sizes up. One of my pet peeves is when one can see your panty lines in your garment. It makes me cringe. Lol!! So to solve that problem, either wear a tong (not a fan), seamless underwears or go komando but with a shapewear on. With the size up, your problem zones on your body won’t be too revealing.
* Tip 2 – Layer Up *
If you’re still not comfortable with tip one, then by all means layer up. A good kimono, sleek blazer or denim jacket are great options, depending on the style you are going for. Just have fun playing with it.
* Tip 3 – Heels Up *
Again, this isn’t everyone’s cup or tea and I understand. Having said that, heels have a way of elongating and making one look slender.
Thanks much for your visits and meaningful comments. Have a lovely weekend ahead.
