Loving and giving is supposed to be an all season thing, but Christmas is the ultimate season according to the world. -And I can understand that. Every day that we’re blessed and fortunate to be alive is a perfect day to be a blessing in another person’s life. It doesn’t have to be an expensive present. Small acts of kindness like helping that person struggling with luggages in town, lending a cent, being patient or a simple thing like smiling. You never know what someone is going through and your smile could be the antidote to their stress. Over the weekend I took my son to watch Bumblebee in the cinema (this is where I took these photos). On the return home, a couple offered my son and I their bus pass because they didn’t need it any more. I had a bus pass, but the couple offering theirs to us meant I didn’t have to buy my son a pass. We were so touched by their act of kindness. It was such a surprise! We expressed our gratitude, but that kindness put a smile on my heart the whole trip back home. This post is just a reminder to ourselves that we should be a merry to someone’s Christmas.
Below are some of my favourite sayings on the topic of kindness.
No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves. -Amelia Earhart
You must give some time to your fellow men. Even if it’s a little thing, do something for others -something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it. -Albest Schweitzer
Human beings who leave behind them no great achievements, but only a sequence of small kindnesses, have not had wasted lives. -Charlotte Gray
On my outfit: Like stated above, I wore this to the cinema with my son. It was absolutely freezing that day, I regretted not taking a scarf with me. The coat did a pretty job keeping me warm, but it wasn’t enough for a minus one cold. Ha!! I love the puffy collar about this coat. Makes me feel like king kong! Lol!! Wearing colour during winter time is my way of overcoming depression with the gloomy weather. The sweater was a perfect touch.
Until next time, have a happy Friday and weekend ahead. Hope to connect with you all on other social media platforms.
